Viola J. Taliaferro Family and Children Mediation Clinic
Students who are registered mediators provide mediation services at no cost to families with limited incomes.
There are two ways to obtain mediation services:
- First, a local court can refer the parties (and their attorneys) in a family law case to mediation at the clinic. The clinic does not charge for mediation services, although the court may charge each party a modest fee based on household income.
- Second, the parties to a case or their attorneys may contact the clinic directly to arrange for mediation services.
Both parties in the case (as well as any participating attorneys) must be willing to come to mediation.
