Gregory A. Castanias, JD'90 A partner and head of the Federal Circuit practice at Jones Day, Washington, DC, Mr. Castanias has a long history of devotion to the Law School ranging from interviewing prospective student to helping current students secure employment. An ex-officio member of the Board of Visitors, he served on the Alumni Board for eight years culminating in a term as President and is credited with helping to establish structures that have increased overall alumni involvement with the School. Leroy W. Hofmann, JD'58 An accomplished trial lawyer at Plattner Verderame, Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. Hofmann has a decades-long history of mentoring young attorneys and providing pro bono legal services to Phoenix area nonprofits. In 2000 he served as a founding member for the Arizona Lost Boys Center, an organization created to assist young men who emigrated from Sudan as refugees in the Sudanese civil war, and continues to serve as a volunteer lawyer for the organization.
Laurie N. Robinson, JD’98 An inspiring leader and vice president and assistant general counsel of CBS Corporation, Ms. Robinson founded Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC), a nonprofit support network for in-house attorneys who are often isolated at their companies. Created in 2004 as an avenue to connect, network and share best practices, CCWC currently has a roster of more than 2,000 women attorneys in the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
