Indiana Law Society of Chicago

Becoming involved in the Indiana Law Society of Chicago will offer you an opportunity to form relationships with graduates from all class years as well as help assist the Maurer School of Law in substantive program areas. Society members work with admissions staff, interview prospective students, and plan "welcome to the city" events for recent graduates and summer interns, among many other activities. Please contact a committee chair if you’re interested in becoming more involved in a specific area.

  • Identifies appropriate law firms, federal government agencies, and other public interest organizations for program participation
  • Conducts outreach to colleagues, alumni and others in, or who have access to, hiring positions to lobby for participation in the program
  • Mentors students in preparation for on-location recruiting interviews
  • Identifies and proposing ways to improve Maurer School of Law overall placement efforts in the Chicago area
