Development Programs and Opportunities
Since its founding in 1842, the Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington has been devoted to preparing graduates for the challenges and opportunities associated with the legal profession. More and more, our graduates are called upon to bring their skills and talents as leaders to pivotal positions in fields including business and industry, finance, health care, the not-for-profit sector, education, and more.
The School of Law relies on both public and private support in order to preserve its reputation and advance its mission. But, as public funding for our institution continues on a downward spiral, we must rely ever more heavily on the generosity of alumni, friends, and firms and corporations, who provide the support necessary for a positive future and the continued growth of our school.
Indiana Law alumni are often surprised to learn that the school's co-curricular programs are made possible with private support. As one alumnus aptly stated, "These initiatives are mission-critical to a legal education." These vital programs include our three renowned law journals, our trial teams, our moot court teams, scholarships, and the offices of Career Services, Admissions, and Student Affairs. We simply could not be the institution we are without your private support.
There are many ways to support the Law School, and every dollar is critical. The development staff are always delighted to meet with donors and personal advisors to discuss gifts to the Law School.
