This course is required for LLM-practicum and MCL candidates in the spring semester.

Supplemental lectures on research methods and resources, as well as an introduction to legal writing forms common in the practice of law are included in the first half of the course. The study of a previously litigated case introduces students to advocacy, as well as civil and criminal procedure and legal ethics. Guest lecturers with expertise in various areas of practice provide students with a new perspective to process material leaned in doctrinal courses. (2 credits)
