Cross-border cooperation in corruption investigations is leading to more effective discovery and prosecution. Fines and prison terms are steadily rising. Cross-debarments by financial institutions and countries are a matter of fact. Corporate executives and managers are held accountable for their own employees acts as well as for those of their suppliers and other third parties wherever they are in the world. In a recent Deloitte survey, corporate executives ranked ethics and compliance risks as their top concern.
