Our Placement Success
Figures from the last eight years demonstrate our students' interest and desire to start their careers in diverse geographic regions and economic settings, with salaries similar to the national averages.
Our Graduates Work Across the Country
While many students decide to stay in Indiana after they graduate, a majority take their first job outside of the state of Indiana. This reflects not only the diversity of interests and goals of the incoming classes, but also the opportunities available to candidates studying at our top-tier law school.

Indiana Law alumni live and work in all 50 states and in more than 30 countries. Of course the largest group of alumni work in Indiana and the midwest. Our alumni are building alumni societies in communities like the District of Columbia, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Our Graduates Work in Diverse Settings
With almost 60 percent of our students from the last seven years working in private practice upon graduation, Indiana Law alumni grace the ranks of law firms from Akin Gump to Ziemer Stayman; from Arnold & Porter to Winston & Strawn. In addition, nine percent of alumni started their careers as judicial clerks.
Our Graduates Have An Advantage
When compared to salaries published by the National Association of Law Placement (NALP), our graduates are very similar to the national averages. In reality, any disparity at one point in the salary scale is balanced by advantages gained elsewhere. And the large number of recent graduates working in Indianapolis—with its cost of living well below the national average and a fraction of that of almost all large metropolitan areas—give many alumni of our school a comparative advantage over many graduates of other law schools.
