2007 Entering Class
Our Class of 2010 JD Students
The JD class of 2010 continues Indiana Law's tradition of welcoming first-year students with superior
academic credentials. Half of the entering class rank in the top nine percent of LSAT-takers nationwide,
with a median score of 164—an increase from 2006—and a 3.4 median GPA.
Sixty-four percent are non-residents, coming from 34 states, the District of Columbia, and British Columbia; 114 undergraduate institutions and 59 undergraduate majors are represented. Among the 211 entering students, 20 possess advanced degrees in areas as diverse as molecular and cellular pharmacology, international relations, aerospace engineering, and Slavic studies. Some 10 percent majored in engineering or the life sciences.
Ranging from age 20 to 53, members of this class have studied, taught, or served professionally in more than 50 countries. They are former Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and Vista volunteers. Two entering students founded companies and one danced for two years with the Estonian State Ballet. Three have worked in the White House, and three have devoted their lives thus far to the development of special-needs children. A dozen of these students have served in the U.S. armed forces, and at least four have served combat tours in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Our International Graduate Students
An impressive group of international graduate students also began the Indiana Law journey. For 2007-08, we welcome students from Iraq, Uzbekistan and Mongolia as well as Africa, Latin America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and from our partner schools in China, Thailand, Korea, and Taiwan.
