The Indiana University Maurer School of Law and the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies will host a symposium entitled "Globalization and Migration," in Spring 2011. The goal of the Symposium is to bring together a unique set of scholars to consider the relationships between globalization and migration — highlighting forms of displacement not usually considered under the rubric of migration (e.g., deportation, sex trafficking, asylum and adoption) as well as novel approaches to law related to migration in these and other areas. We expect that this international and interdisciplinary conference will break substantial new ground both thematically and theoretically.
Papers presented at the Symposium will be published in the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies in a special symposium issue.
