The ALWD Manual, an Alternative to The Bluebook

• Darby Dickerson, ALWD Citation Manual: A Professional System of Citation (3d ed. 2005) (This Bluebook rival seeks to be more user-friendly than The Bluebook. It is designed with practioner writing, rather than scholarly writing, in mind. A few of the rules for practitioner writing differ from The Bluebook's, but not many.)
• Darby Dickerson, ALWD Speed Cite, Third Edition (2006) (This single laminated sheet is a handy reference to the most common citation rules. Though designed for use with the ALWD, it is useful also for Bluebook users.).
