The Bluebook

• To buy the book in print or to purchase an online subscription, go to the Bluebook official site. Before you buy an online subscription, however, note that you will need a hard copy of The Bluebookfor your Citation Competency Test in the second semester of LRW.

The ALWD Manual, an Alternative to The Bluebook

• Darby Dickerson, ALWD Citation Manual: A Professional System of Citation (4th ed. 2010) (This Bluebook rival seeks to be more user-friendly than The Bluebook. It is designed with practioner writing, rather than scholarly writing, in mind. A few of the rules for practitioner writing differ from The Bluebook's, but not many.)
