ASIL Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law
Produced by the American Society of International Law. Includes research guides to electronic sources on various topics within international law.

Avalon Project at Yale Law School
Large collection of human rights documents and other document collections relevant to international law.

British House of Commons Parliamentary Papers
This database includes 5.5 million pages of documents officially published for the British House of Commons in the course of its legislative work, 1902-2004. Documents include, among others, parliamentary bills, permanent and select committee reports, as well as white papers and green papers submitted by Government ministries to Parliament.

Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations
The Cardiff Index allows you to search for the meaning of abbreviations for English language legal publications from the British Isles, the Commonwealth and the United States, including those covering international and comparative law. Also includes a wide selection of major foreign language law publications. Publications from over 295 jurisdictions are featured in the Index. The database mainly covers law reports and law periodicals.

Constitutions of the Countries of the World (Oxford)
Includes current and historical constitutions from all over the globe (including the United States), as well as explanatory notes.

Ecolex
Ecolex is a database of information on environmental and natural resources law. It includes treaties, soft law, national primary and secondary legislation from around the world, court decisions, and commentary. Ecolex is a merger of databases maintained by the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, the United Nations Environmental Program, and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

EISIL (Electronic Information System for International Law)
Database of international agreements organized by topic and sub-topic. Special features include description, citation, searchable keywords, and links to multiple sources for the official text. EISIL also includes links to other web sites that compile information on particular subjects.

Encyclopedia of Public International Law
Provides authoritative coverage of international law concepts and terms. Includes approximately 1700 articles signed by well known scholars in the field. For briefer discussion of international concepts and terms, see Parry & Grant Encyclopaedic Dictionary of International Law, Third edition.

English Reports, Full Reprint (1220-1865)
Decisions of the English Courts prior to the commencement of the Law Reports. Contains over 100,000 cases reprinted from 275 separate series of reports, spanning the years 1220 to 1867.

Case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, the European Commission of Human Rights and the Committee of Ministers. The judgments, decisions, resolutions, and reports of these bodies are held in a database and can be consulted via a sophisticated search interface.

Foreign Law Guide
FLG is a guide to laws by subject of most legal jurisdictions of the world, together with links to Internet versions of many statutes.  Searching is by jurisdiction, subject, or a combination of both.

GLIN (Global Legal Information Network)
Official texts of laws, regulations, judicial decisions, and other complementary legal sources contributed by governmental agencies and international organizations. Each document is accompanied by a summary in English, plus subject terms selected from the multilingual index to GLIN.

Government Gazettes Online
Links to online government gazettes, the official, chronological sources of publication of each nation’s legislation.

Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals
Indexes leading law journals from nations around the world. Focus is on non Anglo-American law. Useful for research into comparative law and the law of foreign legal systems.

Institute for Transnational Law: Foreign Law Translations
Includes French, German, Italian, Austrian and Israeli legal materials in the fields of constitutional, administrative, contract and tort law. The English translations of decisions from Germany and France include cases from the Reichsgericht, the Bundesverfassungsgericht, the Bundesgerichtshof, the Conseil Constitutionnel, the Conseil d'Etat, and the Cour de Cassation.

International Court of Justice

International Historical Statistics (Palgrave)
Palgrave’s International Historical Statistics is an extensive collection of statistical data from around the world, covering a wide range of socio-economic topics.  This is the latest edition of the publication, with coverage from 1750 through 2010.  It contains key economic and social indicators for the last 260 years, including data on the Americas and Europe, as well as harder to find information concerning Africa, Asia and Oceania.

International Law Commission
Includes complete documentation of the U.N. body charged with the development and codification of international law through the restatement of existing principles or the formulation of new ones in proposed treaties.

International Law Reports
Quarterly case reporter includes significant international law cases handed down since 1919 by international courts, arbitrators, and national courts applying international law. All judgments are in English, and fully searchable.

Investor-State LawGuide
The ISLG is a specialized resource for investment treaty research.  It chronicles and maps the relationships between treaties, arbitral rules, cases and other key investment materials.

JustCite
JustCite is an English case law citator. In addition to verifying the continuing validity of case law, Justcite cross-references cases, legislation and journal articles and shows you how they are related.

Justis UK Statutes
Justis UK Statutes includes acts of Parliament (UK) from 1707 onward, acts of Parliament (Scotland) from 1999, acts of the Northern Ireland Assembly from 2000, and acts of Parliament (England) from 1235 to 1706. The latter are derived from Ruffhead’s edition of the Statutes at Large up to 1866, thereafter from HMSO. The collection also includes Statutory Instruments from 1949 and Statutory Orders from 1671. Finally, Justis UK also includes Church Assembly and General Synod Measures from 1920.

Korean Statutes in English (KLRI)
English-language versions of some 800 Korean statutes from the Korean Legislation Research Institute (KLRI).

Law Info China
Lawinfochina is a database containing the law of the People’s Republic of China. It includes over 5,000 national and local laws and regulations translated into English, together with judicial interpretations issued by the Supreme People’s Court.  It also includes over 500 judicial decisions translated into English, as well as news articles from 2000 onward.

Law Library of Congress Guide to Law Online
Annotated guide to sources of information on government and law available online. It includes selected links to useful and reliable sites for legal information.

Lexadin: The World Law Guide
Lexadin is an index of links to legislation and other primary sources of national law available for free on the Internet, organized by country.

LLRX.com
Large collection of research guides relating to individual countries as well as broad subject areas.

Minnesota Human Rights Library
Clearinghouse of information on international human rights law, including large database of treaties and collection of regional human rights documentation.

Multilaterals Project
Provides access to the texts of international multilateral conventions and other instruments.

Oxford Reports on International Law
Integrates important decisions on public international law from international courts and tribunals, domestic courts and ad hoc tribunals.  Includes the: Oxford Reports on International Law in Domestic Courts, Oxford Reports on International Human Rights Law, Oxford Reports on International Criminal Law and the Oxford Law Citator.

PAIS International
Indexes public policy and social science material within journal articles, books, government documents, pamphlets and the reports of public and private bodies since 1972. Indexes publications in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Parry & Grant Encyclopaedic Dictionary of International Law (3rd)
Provides a brief discussion of basic international concepts and terms. For a more complete discussion of concepts and terms, see the Encyclopedia of Public International Law (EPIL).

UK Treaties Online
This database contains the records of more than 14,000 treaties involving the U.K. from 1835 to the present.  It also provides access to PDF versions of treaties published in the Treaty Series from 1892 through 1996.

UNBISnet
Catalogue of United Nations(UN) documents and publications indexed by the UN Dag Hammarskjöld Library and the Library of the UN Office at Geneva. Includes voting records and an indexes of speeches. Coverage is from 1979 onward.

United Nations Treaty Series
Complete, up-to-date collection of treaties adopted under the auspices of the United Nations, or concluded between members of the United Nations, and registered with the Secretariat. Also includes the League of Nations Treaty Series (1920-1944).

The U.N. Yearbook is the principal reference work documenting the activities of all major U.N. bodies. Entries provide detailed and comprehensive coverage.

United States Treaties and Agreements Library
Includes all treaties ratified by the U.S. through a recent date.

WestLaw China
WestLaw China is a database of law of the People’s Republic of China, containing statutes, regulations, cases, and secondary sources in Chinese and English. It currently includes 8,500 laws and regulations in English, as well as 5000 English-language case summaries and summaries of articles from law reviews. Case summaries are in the areas of intellectual property, competition, arbitration, and civil law and procedure. Special features include an index of 5800 subjects and an encyclopedic digest of 35 topics, 11 in English.
