ABOUT THE LIBRARY
|
Home > About the Library > Special Services SPECIAL SERVICES :: Exam File The Library maintains a collection of past Law School exams for students to review. Whether or not old exams for a particular course are kept in the Library Exam File is the decision of the individual faculty member teaching the course. Law School exams are also available through the Library's website. Because it is available exclusively to IU Law School students and faculty through the web, it is password protected. For security purposes, the password is changed each semester. If you need the password, contact Rebecca Bertoloni Meli, Head of Circulation, or a reference librarian. Electronic Reserves In addition to having books on reserve for courses at the circulation desk, the Library also places articles and portions of books on electronic reserve at the request of a faculty member. Students have around-the-clock access to their reserve materials from any computer loaded with Adobe Acrobat Reader and a connection to the Internet. Students may access the e-reserve website directly or through the reserve module of IUCAT. Each course page is password protected, and the password will only be available to students taking the course. Interlibrary Loan Material that is not held by the Law Library or another library on campus may be requested from another library on interlibrary loan. Through the OCLC system, we can identify libraries across the country that own a particular item and attempt to borrow it from them. Many libraries have the capability to send and receive copies of material electronically or by fax, greatly speeding up delivery time. There is sometimes a charge by the lending library for photocopying as well as for borrowed material. Interlibrary loan requests may be made in person to Rebecca Bertoloni Meli, Head of Circulation, or using this online form. Facilities for Students with Special Needs Study facilities for students with disabilities include carrels designed for wheelchairs and study rooms for vision- and hearing-impaired students. In addition, the Office of Disabled Students Services and University Information Technology Services on campus offer assistance to disabled students with specialized equipment and services to meet their individual needs. |
