CLASS RESERVES::

Material for courses can be placed on reserve by contacting Rebecca Bertoloni Meli in the Circulation Office. Photocopied items will be placed on reserve through the electronic reserve system, which can be accessed through the Library’s website, through the reserve module of the online catalog, or through the direct URL. Materials on reserve for each course are password protected and only students enrolled in the course will have access. Books will be held on reserve for a course at the circulation desk. These items ordinarily circulate for four hours.

At the beginning of the semester, it is important that you make arrangements for reserve materials as early as possible because of the large number of items being placed on reserve. When sending items for reserve, provide the name of the class and, if the material is photocopied, tell us how you would like the material listed in the electronic reserve file (what you are calling it on the syllabus you give your students). Please make sure that reserve requests are given to Rebecca Bertoloni Meli or Chris McNeely in the Circulation Office and not left with a desk attendant. It is helpful to give the Library 24 hours before announcing to your class that the material is on reserve. Materials left on Friday might not be placed on reserve until Sunday.
