J. Reuben Clark Law Society

Welcome to Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington from the J. Reuben Clark Law Society!

The J. Reuben Clark Law Society (JRCLS) is a national organization of attorneys and law students committed to the encouragement of religious faith and it's application in the practice and study of law. The international JRCLS was founded in 1987 and is currently comprised of sixty-five attorney chapters and approximately sixty student chapters. Our chapter is the newest student group at the law school having received formal recognition just this year!

We adopt the mission statement of the international JRCLS, specifically:

"We affirm the strength brought to the law by a lawyer's personal religious conviction. We strive through public service and professional excellence to promote fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law"

With this aim, the Society sponsors lectures that sustain the values espoused by its members. As well, as part of the international professional organization, the Society develops worldwide networking opportunities and assists in recruiting potential members to the law school.

With this in mind, we invite you to participate in our organization and in the events we will sponsor and coordinate throughout your experience at IU Law. If you have any questions regarding our Society, please contact us or see us in the Fall.
