Equal Justice Works
EJW is the national organization designed to promote public interest opportunities for law students. The website contains information about pro bono opportunities, fellowship opportunities, public interest organizations, LRAP programs, job fairs, and so forth.

NALP's Public Service Law Network Worldwide
As the public interest arm of NALP Directory, PSLawNet contains a large searchable database of job opportunities.

Legal Employment Search Site
This is a general, and extremely helpful, link to an extensive number of legal and non-legal employment sites.

Foundation Center Job Corner
The Foundation Center maintains a searchable database of job openings in foundations, grant-making public charities, corporate grant-makers, educational institutions and other non-profit organizations.

Harvard Law School's OPIA
The Office of Public Interest Advising maintains a "Job Resources" link that leads to an extensive list of public interest databases. The OPIA also publishes "Serving the Public: A Job Search Guide," which provides an excellent overview for those starting the process.

National Legal Aid & Defender Association
This is an extensive listing of public interest and government jobs that are searchable by state.

Nonprofit Career Network
The Career Network maintains a searchable database (by geographic location) of jobs (legal and non-legal) in nonprofit organizations in the United States and internationally.

Government

Attorney Jobs Online
Attorney Jobs Online advertises law-related opportunities in federal, state and local government; in courts; on Capitol Hill; and in public interest settings. The website is available by subscription or to current law students through Westlaw at http://www.lawschool.westlaw.com, although there has been some difficulty in accessing the database.

Department of Justice
The DOJ maintains a listing of available attorney and internship positions throughout the Department of Justice. This site also has links to individual divisions within the Department of Justice, the DEA, FBI, Federal Bureau of Prisons and individual US Attorney's Offices, as well as to other federal sites within all three branches of government, and to independent agencies, corporations, and commissions within the Federal Government.

Office of Personnel Management
The Federal Government's Office of Personnel Management maintains a website that announces jobs in all federal agencies across the country. The database is searchable by position, salary, and geographic location, and an on-line application is available.

Human Rights Internet
The "Job Board" contains extensive job listings at human rights organizations based in the United States and overseas, as well as links to other human rights job sites around the world.

Idealist.org
A project of Action without Borders, this website has a searchable database of 20,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 140 countries with job listings and volunteer opportunities.

AALS Pro Bono Project
The Pro Bono Project website contains information regarding public interest law at participating law schools, including IU-Bloomington. The AALS has published several reports, both detailing the state of public interest law in America's law schools and manifesting the importance of public interest and pro bono work.

National Lawyers Guild
The National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to the need for basic and progressive change in the structure of America's political and economic systems. It attempts to bring together lawyers, law students, and socially aware individuals to address the problems of racism, poverty, and social injustice. Through the "Resources" tab, it also provides an extensive list of links to other legal organizations and to legal tools.

The PIC website acts as a gateway to public interest resources and information in California.

This website links to a page that has information on nonprofit jobs in the Chicago area.

Northwestern's Public Interest Links
