Naming Opportunities

In addition to scholarships and faculty support, the Maurer School of Law offers a number of naming opportunities for alumni and friends to make a lasting impact on the school. Donors may leave a legacy in their own name, or in the name of a family member, a favorite professor, or a worthy organization. The dean of the Law School, the development staff, and the IU Foundation work closely with donors who are considering making transformational gifts that reflect their values and their confidence in the long-term growth of the Law School.

To name a Law School Program (e.g., the Conservation and Environmental Law Program, a comprehensive endowment for faculty support, scholarships, and programmatic innovations)	$10 million
To endow a Law School Center (e.g., Center for Constitutional Democracy in Plural Societies or Center for Law and Society)	$5 million
To endow a clinical program (e.g., The Elmore Entrepreneurship Law Clinic)	$3 million
To endow a chair	$1.5 million
To name a lecture hall, classroom, or seminar room	Depending on size and prominence of location, between $50,000 and $1 million
To endow a professorship	$750,000
To endow a scholarship (minimum level)	$50,000
To endow a faculty research fund	$200,000
To endow a lectureship	$100,000
