Biography

Jason Freitag joined the Maurer School of Law faculty in July 2026, after 30 years in the Illinois Courts. He served at every level there: one year with the Circuit Court of Cook County; three years with the Illinois Appellate Court; and almost 26 years with the Illinois Supreme Court. Freitag served under Chief Justice Thomas Fitzgerald, Chief Justice Mary Jane Theis, and Justice Sanjay Tailor.
