Jordan Kathleen Miller joined the Maurer School of Law faculty as a full-time lecturer in 2026. Prior to joining Maurer School of Law, Professor Miller retired as Lieutenant Colonel with over 21 years of service in the United States Army. Professor Miller served as a Military Police Officer and later as a Judge Advocate. Professor Miller brings with her over 12 years of experience as a military attorney, serving as a Trial Counsel (military prosecutor), Senior Trial Counsel, Special Victims Prosecutor, Senior Defense Counsel, and Regional Defense Counsel. Professor Miller has primarily litigated criminal matters related to intimate partner violence, rape, sexual assault, and crimes against children. In these roles, Professor Miller also served as a supervisory attorney for up to 16 attorneys.
Prior to attending law school, Professor Miller deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom twice for a total of 27 months. Additionally, Professor Miller earned her masters degree from Webster University and undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy. While at the United States Military Academy, Professor Miller was a member of the Army Crew Team.
In her spare time, Professor Miller enjoys baking, running, and reading. Her favorite hobby is enjoying the company of her husband, children, and dogs.
