Maurer Vision Program

Maurer Vision Program

Indiana is facing a growing shortage of lawyers, especially in rural areas, where access to legal services has become increasingly limited. Many attorneys are retiring or moving to urban centers, leaving small communities without adequate legal representation. The high cost of law school, lower salaries in rural practice, and the demanding nature of the profession discourage new graduates from filling the gap. As a result, residents struggle with issues ranging from family law to business disputes without nearby counsel, highlighting a widening justice gap across the state.

In response to this growing need for future attorneys, the Maurer School of Law created the Maurer Vision Program, combining outreach opportunities, mentoring and experiential learning, and transitional support to law schools to ensure those interested in entering the legal profession have a pathway to do so.

No matter where you are on your path toward law school, whether it's at the Maurer School of Law or elsewhere, we look forward to helping you reach your goals.

Calling all future lawyers: No matter where you are on your path to law school, we can help you on your journey to a career in the legal profession.
