Biography

Freda Coleman-Jackson joined the Maurer School of Law in fall 2012 as the Director of Student Affairs. She has worked in higher education and law school administration for several years as a student affairs professional serving as an advisor to various student organizations and conducting student affairs-related programming.

While in graduate school at the University of Florida, Coleman-Jackson studied educational leadership and administration, diversity issues in higher education, and student development theory. Additionally, she served as the graduate assistant for student judicial affairs within the dean of students' office.

At Mercer University School of Law, Coleman-Jackson was the recipient of the Walter F. George Foundation Public Service Scholarship. She completed an externship with Legal Services of North Florida and interned with the Office of the Attorney General of Georgia in the Government Services and Employment Division. She was also member of the Legal Aid Volunteer Association and served as 1L Representative and Events Co-Chair of the Black Law Students' Association.
