Biography
Virginia Harper Ho is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Indiana University-Bloomington School of Law teaching courses in Chinese law and corporate social responsibility. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Indiana University-Bloomington and a J.D. from Harvard Law School (2001). Virginia clerked for Chief Judge Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa and has practiced corporate, international, and securities law, representing U.S. and foreign multinationals.
She has also served as a Research Fellow at the University of Iowa Center for Asia and Pacific Studies and was a Visiting Lecturer and Researcher at Sun Yat Sen University School of Law in Guangzhou, China in 2003 and in spring, 2008. Her research interests include corporate social responsibility, the role of multinational corporations in international law, and legal reform in China, and her monograph on labor dispute resolution in China was published by the East Asian Center of the University of California-Berkeley.
