Biography
Brian Kearney's long history with Indiana University began in 1979 when he transferred to IU to attend business school.
Upon graduation in 1984, he worked with a local nonprofit organization that was striving to establish a local radio station. From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Kearney worked for former IU President and University Chancellor Herman B Wells as a member of his personal caregiving staff. Dr. Wells, whom Kearney regards as a great personal mentor, was also a key ally to the radio project. In 1993, WFHB went on the air, and Kearney served as station manager for five years.
In 1996, he received his master's degree in arts administration from IU. He stepped down as station manager of WFHB and took a position in development at the IU Art Museum.
Kearney has been with Indiana Law since December of 2002. He looks forward to participating in a successful endowment campaign in the coming years.
