Biography
Archana Sridhar received her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she was primary editor for the Harvard Human Rights Journal.
Sridhar joined the Law School after completing a year-long U.S. Student Fulbright Fellowship in Guatemala, studying tax reform and nonprofit law. Prior to that, she worked in foundation and corporate relations for an international humanitarian organization and as a tax associate at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, specializing in tax-exempt organizations and corporate transactions.
As a law student, Sridhar participated in a number of student groups, including the South Asian Law Students Association, and pursued clinical work with the Harvard Civil Rights Project. She also worked as a Technical Research Assistant at the HLS library.
Sridhar's own continued research addresses international philanthropy, post-conflict development, and tax reform. Her scholarship includes a 2002 article in the Berkeley Journal of International Law and a 2007 article in the Fordham International Law Journal. She is also the co-founder of the South Asian Philanthropy Project.
At Indiana Law, Sridhar manages the Law School's sponsored research activities including all corporate, foundation, and government funding. She works with the faculty and the school's research centers, including the Center for Constitutional Democracy and the Center for Law, Society, and Culture, to pursue grants and sponsorships. She also collaborates with the Indiana Journal for Global Legal Studies and the Indiana Democracy Consortium on conferences and research projects.
