Join us in person or virtually for admitted student events!
This year, we are giving our admitted students the option of visiting us on campus and virtually in Zoomington! Visit during one of our two Admitted Student Days, set up an individual visit, and/or participate in our virtual Zoomington events. We will cover a one-night lodging cost (detailed below) for one visit prior to July 1. Note: all event times are in Eastern time, as Bloomington, IN is in the eastern time zone (same time zone as New York).
In-Person Admitted Student Days
The February 26 and March 26 agendas include a faculty panel, a student panel, lunch at the Indiana Memorial Tudor Room, and a tour of Baier Hall. We will end the day with a reception giving you the opportunity to mingle with faculty, current law students and your future classmates. If you are joining us from outside Bloomington (75 miles or more), we will cover a one-night, one-room lodging expense up to $139. Because of social distancing and to give every admitted student an opportunity to attend, we request that you limit your guest(s) to no more than two. Expand the menus below for information, registration, and where to stay for each Admitted Student Day. Note: for IU tracking purposes, we ask that all visitors to campus fill out the Lodging Information form (in the expanded menus below) regardless of whether you are staying overnight in a hotel.
Hilton Garden Inn: For Admitted Student Days, we have reserved a block of rooms for Saturday night at the Hilton Garden Inn, a 15-minute walk to Baier Hall. Though a credit card is required for the reservation, the room will be paid for and billed directly to the Law School. Only one room per law student (including guests) is allowed in our block of rooms. Note: The reservation MUST be made in the admitted student’s name (the admitted student’s name must appear on the receipt regardless of the credit card being used). Be sure to complete our Lodging Information Form and email it to our office as soon as your plans are set. The cut-off dates for our block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn is February 18 for the February 26 Admitted Student Day. Reserve your room for February 26 here.
Other Lodging: If you choose to stay somewhere else in Bloomington (Saturday, February 26 only), we will cover that one room cost up to $139 (no incidentals). The reservation MUST be made in the admitted student’s name (regardless of the credit card being used) and you must provide a copy of the paid receipt (showing zero balance) along with our Lodging Information Form. This information may be emailed to our office at lawadmis@indiana.edu. We can only reimburse visitors who stay at traditional hotels (Airbnb, B&B, or other non-traditional accommodations cannot be reimbursed).
Bloomington hotel rooms tend to fill up quickly in February and March, so we suggest you register in our block of rooms as soon as possible to ensure that you have a place to stay.
GoExpress Bloomington Shuttle runs between Bloomington and the Indianapolis International Airport. Many campus and city bus routes run throughout Bloomington, along with limo and taxi services. Visit Bloomington's maps and transportation service outlines many of these options.
If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Please contact the Office of Admissions (812.855.4765) at least two weeks prior to your date of attendance, as some accommodations may require time to arrange.
